Green Soup - Borsch(in Russian)

Made some "Green Borsch" (soup), it is called green because of the sorrel that is in it.

It tastes so yummy, brings me to my childhood memories for sure and it's one of my favorite soups to eat...




Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1.
First you got to pick the meat, it's whatever you like chicken, pork or beef (I used beef) because it's our favorite, either beef or chicken.  So cut up some beef and put it in the pan for boil, just like that....


After it's been boiling for a little, clean it and put into the skillet to fry it.  Just like that...


After it's fried you can put it in the pan, but put into the fresh water, to start cooking it again.

Step 2.
I made it in the big pan for 7 people, so I used 10 potatoes. 


When beef starts to boil you can put potatoes in there.


Step 3.
Take 1 onion, 1 1/2 carrots and some green onions and cut it all up.  Carrots you would need to shred, just like that...

Step 3.
Start frying onion, just like that....


after it's fried a little add carrots to it


Step 4.
Boil 6 eggs, after they are boiled, cut them up and add the eggs to the onion and carrots on the frying pan to fry a little.  Just like on the pictures below...

Step 5.
Add all of the contents from the skillet (onion, carrots and eggs) to the pan where you have your water and beef boiling.


Step 6.
Add 1/2 cup of rice to the boiling water too...


Step 7.
After all of the contents in the bowl are ready and have been boiling for about an hour on the medium heat.  It's time to add some salt, black pepper, vegeta, garlic salt and lemon pepper.


Step 8.
The last thing you would need to add to all of the contents in the bowl is sorrel.  Wash the sorrel, then cut it and add it to the pan too....




   Now it is time to try some "Green Borsch"...
